Located in Co Wicklow on the east coast of Ireland, Macfarlane Plastics design and manufacture plastic injected moulded packaging solutions.

We serve many market sectors including petrochemical, nutritional, medical, pharmaceutical, household, food, health and beauty, and leisure.

Services
We provide our customers with a complete design capability from concept to market, complimented by a research and development department providing product prototypes, pre-production mould tools to produce product for market trials and full production mould tools of multi cavity including stack mould tools.

Technology
Our state-of-the-art offering encompasses the following:-

Injection moulding machines:
28 machines ranging in size (clamping force) from 40 tonne to 500 tonne. Our moulding machines include Netstal, Ferromatik, BMB and Negri Bossi.

Materials moulded:
PP, LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, ABS, Polystyrene and biodegradable polymers. We also have a full range of master batch colours in stock which can be added to as required to meet customer demand.

Mould tools:
Single cavity, multi cavity stack moulds, over moulds and micro moulds.
 
Labelling:
In line labelling.
Environment: Clean room/white room

Printing:
Offset printing, tampo printing, hot foil stamping.

Welding:
Hot melt sealing, ultrasonic welding.

Quality department:
Our temperature-controlled lab has a non contact measuring machine, testometric tester, light box, melt flow index tester and environmental testing equipment.
